What is Cli-ghost?
Cli-ghost is a command-line account manager and terminal dashboard for developers who use multiple Codex and Antigravity CLI accounts. It brings account setup, remaining-quota reports, account switching and session launchers into one interface, so you can inspect both providers without moving between separate management commands.
I developed the account-management interface and keyboard-driven dashboard. The dashboard gives each provider its own tab. A consistent set of commands lets you add another account, check its quota, select an identity and start a session from your current project directory.
The product is distributed as clighost on npm. After installation, use cli-ghost; the earlier clighost command remains available too. The examples below describe version 0.2.0.
Install and get started
Install or update the npm package, verify the provider tools and open the dashboard:
npm install -g clighost@latest
cli-ghost --version
cli-ghost doctor
cli-ghost dashboardCli-ghost requires Node.js 18+ and Python 3.10+. Its provider managers have higher requirements: the Codex manager requires Node.js 22.19+; the Antigravity manager requires Python 3.12+. Install the official Codex and Antigravity CLIs and the managers for the providers you intend to use.
# Codex account manager
npm install -g codex-multi-auth
# Antigravity account manager
pipx install antigravity-swap
# Check the commands available on PATH
cli-ghost doctorAlready using these managers? Cli-ghost resolves their installed commands from your PATH. If Python is installed outside PATH, set CLIGHOST_PYTHON to its executable. For a quick status report without a global installation, run npx clighost status.
Explore the terminal dashboard
Run cli-ghost dashboard to open the Codex tab or cli-ghost dashboard agy to start on Antigravity. The full-screen interface groups quick actions above your saved accounts. Remaining quota appears as percentage bars, with low values highlighted and unavailable values shown as unknown.

Cached reports refresh every three seconds by default. Use cli-ghost dashboard --interval 5 for a five-second interval. Launching a provider opens its normal interactive session; exiting that session returns to the dashboard.
From adding an account to starting a session
The dashboard brings the everyday account tasks into one experience. Start with the provider you need, add an account and review the available information before choosing your next action.
- Add an accountComplete the provider’s sign-in.
- Review statusInspect saved accounts and quota.
- Choose an accountSelect the identity you intend to use.
- Start a sessionLaunch the provider from the dashboard or command line.
Codex and Antigravity have separate account pools. Adding an account for one provider does not sign you in to the other.
Add Codex and Antigravity accounts
Both providers have a guided account assistant. Pick the provider, complete its sign-in and answer the repeat prompt to build an account pool.
# Add a ChatGPT account for Codex
cli-ghost add codex
# Add a Google account for Antigravity
cli-ghost add agy
# After a successful addition:
# Add another account? [y/N]For Codex, complete the device authorization in your browser. For Antigravity, sign in to the intended account inside agy, then exit so Cli-ghost can save that login. To add a different Google account, choose it in agy before saving. Adding the same account updates its stored login rather than creating another identity.
The login commands use the same assistant. Add --once to skip the repeat prompt. Use cli-ghost add agy --current when the account you want to save is already signed in.
Read account status and remaining quota
The status command lists both providers with numbered accounts and remaining allowance. Codex windows include the five-hour and weekly limits when the provider reports them. Antigravity retains its own reported quota pools.
cli-ghost status
cli-ghost status codex
cli-ghost status agy --live
cli-ghost check codex
cli-ghost check agy
# Structured reports for scripts
cli-ghost status --jsonQuota percentages mean remaining, even when a provider reports percentage used. Missing or invalid quota remains unknown. The [active] marker identifies the selected account; it is not a live task indicator. Refreshing the screen rereads cached reports; a live check contacts the provider and Codex checks can consume subscription quota.
For scripts, --json returns normalized accounts, provider errors and schema_version: 1. A failed provider does not remove the other provider’s successful report. Use --style plain, --no-color or the NO_COLOR environment variable when a simpler terminal output is preferable.
Switch accounts and launch sessions with failover
Account numbers are one-based and match the status listing. Switch to the account you want, then launch the provider from your working directory.
cli-ghost switch codex 2
cli-ghost run codex
cli-ghost switch agy 2
cli-ghost run agy
# Forward arguments to the provider
cli-ghost run codex -- exec "Explain this project"
cli-ghost run codex -- resume --last
cli-ghost run agy -- --continueCodex rotation applies inside sessions launched through its wrapper. Starting plain codex does not enable that wrapper. Switching pins an account; codex-ma unpin restores automatic selection.
Antigravity keeps credentials in memory, so switching affects new sessions. Its failover wrapper can stop a session, transfer the conversation and restart with a continuation prompt. That can interrupt an unfinished action; exact execution continuity is not guaranteed. At least two healthy saved accounts are needed to exercise failover.

A clear, reviewable account experience
I developed Cli-ghost’s account-management experience, guided setup and terminal dashboard. The focus is helping a user understand which account they are choosing, what quota information is available and how to start the intended session.
The version 0.2.0 release passed 35 local automated checks and a terminal navigation check. Native Windows console behavior and automatic two-account Antigravity failover still need further verification.
Cli-ghost is independently developed by Issam El Bani at VELTEIN and is not affiliated with OpenAI or Google.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between clighost and cli-ghost?
clighost is the npm package name. Cli-ghost is the product name, and cli-ghost is the main terminal command. Installing the package also provides clighost as a compatibility command.
Can I manage both Codex and Antigravity accounts?
Yes. Cli-ghost presents both providers through one command interface and separate dashboard tabs. Each provider keeps its own account pool and sign-in process; adding a ChatGPT account does not add a Google account.
Does the dashboard show live quota?
The dashboard rereads cached provider reports every three seconds by default. Press H or use the check command to perform a live health and quota check. Codex live checks can consume subscription quota. Unknown quota is displayed as unknown, never as zero.
Does Cli-ghost store or synchronize my login credentials?
Cli-ghost delegates sign-in and credential storage to the installed provider managers. It reads their public account reports rather than OAuth credential files. Accounts do not synchronize through the source repository; sign in separately on each device.
Will automatic rotation work if I start plain codex?
Use cli-ghost run codex to launch the installed rotation wrapper. Starting plain codex does not enable that wrapper. Pinning an account with switch affects selection; use codex-ma unpin to restore automatic selection.
What happens when I add the same Antigravity account again?
The provider manager refreshes the saved credentials for that account instead of creating a separate identity. Choose a different account inside agy before saving if you want to expand the account pool.
